Today was our 6 year wedding anniversary. We went to dinner and a movie last night and today went for a hike up in the mountains above Glendora.

A couple weeks ago, Kenny and I took a trip to Orlando. We went to Epcot Center, Cocoa Beach, and enjoyed the hotel. I tried to get Kenny to go on a gator tour, but he chickened out! It was a quick trip and we never got used to the East Coast time, but had a pretty good mini vacation.

Epcot was having a garden festival at that time and had a lot of the Disney characters made out of plants and flowers. It was neat.

On April 23rd, Kenny turned 30! He had a low-key day on his actual birthday and on Friday I told him that we were meeting Michelle and Jon for dinner to celebrate...little did he know that he'd walk into a surprise party at Jillian's Bowling at Universal CityWalk. He was totally surprised--not even hearing everyone yelling "Surprise" when we walked into the bowling alley because he was too enthralled with the Dodger game up on the big screen! We had a great time eating, bowling, and hanging out. Thanks to everyone for making Kenny's birthday so much fun!

Girls Getaway

Last weekend, Amber, Sage, Brie, and I went out to the desert for a girls getaway! We stayed at the beautiful Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells and indulged in massages, shopping, sleeping in, and food. It was a great time and I came back very relaxed...not wanting to come back to reality! I had so much fun with Amber and really enjoyed getting to know Sage and Brie. They are a crack up! Let's do it again!

We've been on the go for the past month with a trip to Arizona, work, house guests, Christmas parties galore, family, and a mini vacation.

We spent Thanksgiving in Tucson with Kenny's family.

December was busy...

What a difference a few months makes...here's what our house looked like when we moved here in February 2008....

We had the pool redone it was finished in May and we swam all summer long. We took down the HUGE trees in front of the house and I replanted the front planters. The house has looked like this for a while...I'm just a lazy poster!

This was a fun trip that I got to take last year to Ohio State University with work. We saw OSU play Wisconsin and the day before we got a tour of the athletic facilities at OSU and got down on the field at the Horseshoe! Got to run around the field and throw the football a little bit. Kenny and I are in the back left of the picture if you can't find us. It was a good time!

Well...I have--according to my cousin Brian--entered my late twenties! (so has he--we're 5 days apart) I turned 27 earlier this month. Here's a few pictures from my celebration.

Kenny took me golf club shopping (that was my gift) and then to Golden Spoon for some frozen yogurt with snow caps. Yummy!

The day after my birthday I got to try out my new clubs. I didn't do too bad.

Today was our 5 year wedding anniversary! We went to Dolce in LA on Melrose for dinner to celebrate. It was very good. Quite the trendy place! Kenny kept telling me all week that my gift was being "made" which made me wonder what he had in store...but this morning I found out that he was having diamond earrings "made" for me. They are coming next week. Kenny got a new 5 wood golf club from me...the 5th anniversary modern present is "wood" so he got a club to remember our 5th anniversary...I'm so witty! Its been a great five years so far!

Where does the time go?

Lots has been happening over the last month with us. Demo, painting, dog attack, basketball and more! A week before we moved, we did a little prep work at the new house. I painted our bedroom and the living room with help from some very nice family members. Kenny and my bro-in-law junked a lot of stuff from the house—a shed, clothesline, and overgrown bushes to name a few. A week later, we moved to our new house on Feb. 23rd. We had a lot of much appreciated help from family and good friends. Kenny’s mom came out to help from Arizona to help and it was nice to see her. Definitely a busy couple weeks to say the least. On Monday the 25th, we—I mean Kenny—had the pool remodel started. Kenny could be the most impulsive person I know. So, we’ve had construction going on since then in the backyard.

I got home from work that Thursday and saw Sadie chained up in the backyard because of the pool work, and it was such a nice day, so I decided to take her for a walk. We were not even 3 houses away from our driveway when a chow comes from behind us and bites Sadie on her back and starts to throw her around. The chow grabbed her a second time and threw her again. One of our neighbors raced across the street with a rake and started to hit the chow on the back so it would let go of Sadie. Finally the dog did—after the neighbor had broken the rake. I had to take poor Sadie to the emergency vet to have her war wounds stitched up. Not the way that I wanted to spend my first week in our new neighborhood. Anyway, the next day I had an awards party for work in Ojai at a super nice hotel that Kenny got to go to—he was so excited I tell you!! So rather than stay the night there and enjoy the next day in Ventura, we had to go home that Friday night to take care of our poor puppy.

Move forward a week. I got tickets to the UCLA Stanford basketball game. Kenny and I went and it was really fun! I hadn’t been to a game for a while and it was a fun game. UCLA played pretty bad up until the 4th quarter where they tied up the game and sent it to overtime where they won by 10 points and clinched the PAC 10 title! It was fun. Then Saturday comes around and I decided to paint our bathroom and prune the peach trees in our backyard. After it was done I thought the floor looked bad so we decided it would be nice to tile the floor in there as well. So last weekend Kenny and I tiled the bathroom. I learned that you paint AFTER tiling—I have some touching up of the paint to do in there. I told Kenny that I am done with home improvements for a while. We’ve been enjoying our new house and have had a lot of fun having friends over to hang out. I can’t wait for the pool to be done so our backyard is no longer a mess and we can enjoy some swimming.

Guess I should post more often so I don’t have to have these HUGE posts. But I have been busy so hopefully I get a break soon!

Glendora Here We Come!

I suppose this post should have proceeded the Tag post because I mentioned that on my To Do list was to pack my house. We are in fact moving--not far though. We are moving to Glendora, just the neighboring city to the west of San Dimas--1.9 miles from our current house to be exact. The new house is bigger than our little one we're in right now and it also has a pool! I'm so excited for bigger closets! The house needs some updating, so my new favorite store may become either Lowe's or Home Depot. We are looking forward to moving in 2 weeks and are glad we get to stay in the area. Come visit us this summer for a pool party!

On My To-Do List: Start to pack my house--(we're moving in 3 weeks!), pick out paint for my new bedroom, do expense reports for work.

5 Jobs I Have Had: Big 5 Sporting Goods Cashier, Focus LA phone interviewer, Claims Rep, Marketing Specialist, Marketing & Growth Consultant, but I've only worked for 3 companies.
What I Would Do if I became a Billionaire: Buy a vacation home in Maui; travel like crazy, especially the places that Kenny says he will not go with me, like Europe; donate some to a needy cause; let Kenny start one of his many entreupuneral business ideas; refurnish my house with everything Pottery Barn, get a Diet Coke fountain installed in my house.
Bad habits: Kenny would say falling asleep on the couch, but that is one of my FAVORITE habits; not grocery shopping often enough.
Things I enjoy: soccer, shopping on the internet, Haribo Gold-Bears, dozing on the couch at night.
Things people don't know about me: I am blind as a bat--I can barely see what time it is on my alarm clock when I wake up in the morning; I secretly love my job; I think Valentine's Day is a dumb holiday even though I have a Valentine; I like to read even though I hardly ever do.
